How to use the JSON Tree Viewer
- Paste JSON into the input box, or select Load sample.
- Select a node’s arrow or label to open or close it. Use Expand all or Collapse all for the whole tree.
- If the JSON is invalid, the error shows where the parser stopped.
About this tool
Long JSON can be hard to read as plain text. The tree view shows each object and array as a node you can open or close, with a short summary such as the number of keys or items, so you can find the part you care about quickly.
Good to know
- Values are always drawn as plain text, never as HTML.
- Objects and arrays with more than 500 children show the first 500 and a count of the rest, to keep the page responsive.
- Nodes are native disclosure elements, so Tab and Enter or Space work from the keyboard.
